Traditionally, baskets were used for a variety of domestic purposes, but starting in the late-19th century, many basketry goods were made as sale items to provide a source of cash income.

Rectangular, tapered, basketry covered bottle with a tall, slender neck. The basketry is of very fine wrapped twined grass and cedar bark, with a plain twined base with central checker work. Design is six sets of concentric bands in purple, light yellow-brown and green. One wide band around top of neck is brown. Design has faded on neck and top of bottle. Stopper has crown-like metal top.
