Physical description
Byzantine coin of Justin II, 565-578. Obverse: busts of Justin II, on left, and Sophia, on right, both facing forwards; there is a cross between their heads; inscription is mostly illegible, but to right, it may say ÔÇÿNVIÔÇÖ; in exergue, ÔÇÿVITAÔÇÖ. Reverse: large ÔÇÿKÔÇÖ; to left, ÔÇÿANNOÔÇÖ in a vertical position; to right, ÔÇÿVIIIÔÇÖ in a vertical position; above, cross; beneath, ÔÇÿSÔÇÖ; in exergue, ÔÇÿKARÔÇÖ.
