Physical description
Byzantine coin of Justin II, 565-578. Obverse: busts of Justin II, on left, and Sophia, on right, both facing forwards; there is a cross between their heads; to left, inscription is illegible; above, it says ÔÇÿNOEÔÇÖ; to right, ÔÇÿOFIAACÔÇÖ; in exergue, ÔÇÿVITAÔÇÖ. Reverse: large ÔÇÿMÔÇÖ; to left, ÔÇÿANNOÔÇÖ in a vertical position; to right, ÔÇÿ[V]IIIÔÇÖ in a vertical position; above, cross; beneath, ÔÇÿSÔÇÖ; in exergue, ÔÇÿKARÔÇÖ.
